Chennai Literary Festival from Feb 17

The event would be inaugurated by Tamil Nadu Governor Dr K Rosaiah.

"The University of Madras and over 30 colleges in and around the city have joined hands with Chennai Literary Association (CLA) to conduct the  Festival," CLS President Ms Latha Rajan told reporters here today.

She said "Madras University and affiliated colleges have since inception  supported this initiative of inculcating reading habits and honing the  skills of students in various literary aspects. This is the 3rd time we are organizing a mega literary event in the  city and along the lines of Jaipur Literary Festival. Like our previous  editions, the response from students and educational institutions was  overwhelming", she added.
