    Blueberry Banana Flax Seed Smoothie

    Banana Cinnamon Smoothie

    INGREDIENTS: 

    Banana -2 nos (long) 

    Milk – 2 cups (frozen) 

    Honey or sugar –2-3 tbsp. 

    Cinnamon powder - 2 pinches 

    Vanilla essence - few drops 

    METHOD: 

    • Peel the banana and cut into thin slices. Spread in a plate and freeze it for two-three hours. Freeze the milk along with banana. You can use boiled milk. 
    • Now in a mixie jar, take the frozen banana slices. Crush the frozen milk and add to the jar.  
    • Add honey and essence as per your taste. Blend it well without adding water.  
    • It will become a thick paste. Add little water if necessary to liquefy it. Pour in a glass and serve chilled. Sprinkle some cinnamon powder, mix well and drink.

    Strawberry Smoothie

    INGREDIENTS:

    Strawberries, cut: 10 nos, big Banana, sliced: 1 large (or) small- 2 

    Rolled oats/ Instant oats: 1/2 cup 

    Sugar: 1 tablespoon Yogurt: 1/2 cup 

    Boiled chilled milk: 1/2- 3/4 cup (optional)

    METHOD: 

    • Grind the oats as a fine powder using a blender.  
    • In a juicer jar or blender jar add the cut strawberries and banana and blend to make a puree to avoid big chunks inside the smoothie. 
    • Add the remaining things like sugar, oats, yogurt and blend well till frothy.  
    • I felt the smoothie is so thick after making and added boiled chilled milk to get the right consistency. But adding milk is optional. 
    • Use low fat yogurt and low fat milk or full fat yogurt and milk for richer taste. 
    • Serve chilled.

    Blueberry Banana Flax Seed Smoothie

    INGREDIENTS: 

    Blueberries, fresh/ frozen: 1/2 cup

    Banana: 1 medium 

    Yogurt/curd: 1 cup 

    Chilled Milk: 1/2 cup (optional) 

    Flax seed: 1 tablespoon 

    Honey/ sugar: 1 tablespoon

    METHOD: 

    • Add the flax seed in a blender jar and powder it; set aside. 
    • In a blender or juicer jar add the blueberries, cut banana, yogurt, flax seed powder and honey. 
    • Blend well to make a smoothie. Add a cup of boiled chilled milk if you feel the smoothie is thick. 
    • Consume immediately as we have added flax seed powder in it. 
    • Serve chilled.

    Note: For best results, keep the banana inside the freezer for an hour and use it to make the smoothie. 

    You can replace the flax seed powder with oats powder
