The new Moto Watch is a welcome addition to the fiercely competitive sub Rs 10,000 smartwatch price segment. Motorola is building its pitch on style and wellness, both key purchase drivers for consumers in this price segment.
It’s the premium build that sets the Moto Watch apart in this segment. It’s crafted with a sleek 47mm aluminium frame with a stainless steel crown that adds to it’s refined vibe. You get protection from scratches and splashes thanks to Gorilla Glass 3 and IP68 protection + 1ATM.
This one’s clearly ready for all your adventures and outdoor pursuits. The watch comes in multiple variants including colour options for silicon straps and a vegan leather as well as a stainless steel strap option (in two colour ways). You can swap the straps easily and accessorise according to the occasion thanks to 22mm band compatibility.
Our favourite hardware feature is the vibrant 1.4-inch circular OLED display with over 20 always-on display designs. This gorgeous display is backed by Motorola’s claim of 13 days of battery life (7 days with the always-on display). While battery usage for smartwatches varies according to use-case scenarios, you get the convenience of a full day’s power with just 5 minutes of charging.
One of the key talking points of this wearable is Motorola’s partnership with Polar that has acquired a cult following for its wellness insights. You get a raft of features including smart workout tracking, Polar’s nightly ANS (Autonomic Nervous System) recharge insights, advanced sleep tracking, always-on SpO2 and heart rate monitoring, The Moto Watch also includes dual-band GPS for precise health and fitness tracking adding to its appeal as a serious wellness companion with a stylish design. (Effective launch price of Rs 5,999 onwards).
