Apple unveiled the iPad Pro 10.5 which replaces the previous 9.7 inch version packing more pixels and fewer bezel. The new iPads pack ProMotion display technology with a 120Hz display refresh rate usually found in gaming monitors. The Apple Pencil integration has been improved as well. Both the iPad Pro 12.9 and 10.5 have been upgraded to the latest internals.
The iPad Pro 10.5 will be available in India later this month starting at Rs. 52,900 for the base 64 GB WiFi version, going all the way up to Rs.87,900 for the top of the line 512 GB Cellular version.
The big news for iPhone and iPad users is the upcoming iOS 11 which was shown off for the first time at the event and brings several new features including improved multi-tasking, drag and drop functionality and a new file manager.
Apple has also refreshed its entire Mac line up including the Macbook Air, Macbook Pro and iMac to pack the latest Intel Kaby Lake processors. The company also showed off the iMac Pro which is a very powerful computer with a built in 5K retina display, 18-core Intel Xeon processor, up to 128 GB of RAM and up to 32 GB of Radeon Pro Vega Graphics memory.
This device is clearly aimed at professionals and comes at a premium $4999 price point and launches in December. The next version of macOS known as High Sierra was also shown off and is available as a beta. It will be available as a free upgrade later this year.
The company announced its plans to take on the Google Home and Amazon Alexa with a home speaker called HomePod. The device is coming out in December for $349 in US,UK and Australia and no word on the India launch for now.
