

CHENNAI: Asia’s largest Leather Fashion Show made its annual statement in Chennai with the Leather Fashion Show ‘26, held at ITC Grand Chola recently. Curated and directed by renowned fashion director Bhaskaran Chandra Shekhar, the show featured 14 showstoppers and over 70 models, including children.
A regular highlight of the India International Leather Fair (IILF), the event showcased the latest global trends in leather fashion, with strong seasonal inputs influencing silhouettes, textures and colours.
Thirteen leading Indian companies presented a wide range of products, from bags and accessories to footwear and leather garments, created exclusively for the show. All products were made from natural leather and manufactured under environmentally friendly conditions, in line with European Union norms and LWG protocols.
KR Vijayan, convenor of Fashion Show ’26 and Brand Symposium ’26, noted that the event attracted visitors from across the world and featured many first-time participants showcasing innovative designs.
Choreographed by Jude Felix, the show combined dramatic lighting, vibrant music and striking craftsmanship.
