The video of him telling the youngsters to wear helmet from his car started trending as soon as he uploaded it on social media platforms including Twitter and Facebook on Sunday.
The master blaster, in the video, is asking two young boys to put on helmet as they ride a scooter. He also asks another person, who is riding a motorbike with a woman, to wear helmet for safety.
In the 19-second video, the two boys are trying to take a selfie with Tendulkar, but he in turn says, “Promise me one thing, next time you will use a helmet. It is dangerous for you like this. Life is precious. Is that a promise? 100 per cent?”
The video garnered over 3.1 million views within a couple of hours and is being shared and re-shared. A social message, when told by an icon, will reach far and wide. Hope it is taken seriously.
