Airtel launches V-Fiber broadband in Chennai: 

Airtel has launched high speeds broadband services in Chennai under the V-fiber brand. It is their new broadband offering which promises download speeds up to 100Mbps. It currently offers broadband services which are limited to 16Mbps download speeds in most cities. V-Fiber would bring high speeds to current broadband users who need to just buy the new modem for Rs.1,000 and no additional wiring or equipment is required. Speeds could vary between 16Mbps to 100Mbps depending on the distance from the nearest exchange. The tariffs are same as the current broadband plans starting at Rs.999 for 50GB FUP to Rs.4,999 for 1000GB FUP. New customers would also get three months of unlimited usage for free. Airtel V-fiber is currently live in many areas across Chennai and expected to be launched in Bengaluru and Delhi over the next few weeks. 

New releases: 

Intex has launched 2 new budget smartphones the Aqua 5.5 VR and Aqua Craze II priced at Rs.5,099 and Rs.5,990 respectively, and both pack features such as Dual SIM functionality, 5MP cameras, 4G VoLTE and Android 6.0. The Aqua 5.5 VR is powered by a Mediatek processor, packs a 5.5 inch display and a 2800mAh battery, while the Aqua Craze II is powered by a Spreadtrum processor, and packs a 5-inch display and a 2500 mAh battery.

The Asus Zenfone 3 Laser has gone on sale for Rs.18,999 in India and features a 5.5 inch FullHD display, 13MP camera, Snapdragon 430 Processor and Android M.

Xiaomi has launched its Mi Power Bank Pro India at Rs.1,999 and features fast charging and will be available from October 17.

Huawei has launched three new phones in India under the Honor series – Honor 8 (Rs.29,999) which is a premium smartphone with dual cameras at the back for premium photography experience, Honor 8 Smart (Rs.19,999) which features a single 13MP camera, and the Holly 3 (Rs.9,999) which is the company’s first phone to be made in India.

Sony has launched a new 65 inch 4K HDR BRAVIA Android 3D Smart TV, KD65Z9D at a stunning Rs.5 lakh price point. The Z9D series features a new 4K HDR processor — X1 Extreme and a unique backlight technology to deliver highly accurate wide colours and impressive visual experience with more depth, texture and realism on the screen.
