CHENNAI: Rehna Shajahan, a 25-year-old woman from Kerala's Kottayam city made herself proud and entered into the international book of records by achieving the record of completing 81 online course certificates in a single day.

The record was attempted on 24 November 2022, which broke the previous record of her achieving 75 certificates in a single day beside she also attempted the courses offered by Google, Meta, Microsoft, Amazon, and many more. Most of the courses were regarding digital marketing and finance with most courses requiring 70% to get a certificate.

’’I wanted to enhance my CV. I completed my MBA during the Covid period. When companies came for placements, they used to ask how we utilised the lockdown period other than just finishing the course. I wanted to stand out from the normal crowd. I started at 8 am and until 11 pm, I received 66 certificates and had to pass nine more in an hour to set the world record. For a moment,”she said in an interview.

Sources said that her story started by observing her sister studying at Delhi university while she was preparing for her M. Com entrance exam at Jamia Milla Islamia university for her postgraduation, but unfortunately lost by 0.5 marks. Although after the rejection she rolled herself in two masters degrees simultaneously through distance mode, by completing masters in social work and PG diploma in guidance & counseling perhaps she got into her dream college by becoming the only person in the state grabbing, MBA in entrepreneurship.

Dr. Sharnas Muthu, the Director of Delhi-based NGO Women's Manifesto where she previously worked encouraged her to attempt the world record. She is currently, a career coach and supports students in personality development and a lot more.
