CHENNAI: GV Prakash and Anaswara Rajan's Lucky The Superstar is set to be released on JioHotstar on February 20. The direct-to-OTT film's launch-date poster was unveiled on Monday.
Directed by Uday Mahesh, the film's first glimpse was released in December, as one of the 25 originals announced by the streaming platform during its South Unbound event.
The teaser showed a dog gifted to a little girl who longs for a companion, unaware that it has special powers of giving luck to people who own it, then a politician steals the puppy for his personal motives, which makes the little girl devastated. GV Prakash realises the only way to save the little girl is to give the puppy back to her.
Lucky The Superstar will be releasing in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam and Hindi. It is produced by Kandasamy and Pushpa Kandasamy.
The cast also includes Devadarsini Sukumaran, Kovai Sarala, Subbu Panchu Arunachalam, Elango Kumaravel, Namo Narayana, and Bigg Boss Tamil fame Daniel, while Madhusudhan Rao is expected to play a politician.
