CHENNAI: The much-awaited grand finale of Bigg Boss Tamil Season 9 concluded on Sunday (January 19) with wild card entrant Divya Ganesh taking home the trophy and a cash prize of Rs 50 lakh.
Hosted by actor Vijay Sethupathi, actor Sabarinath and YouTuber Vikkals Vikram grabbed the second and third spots.
Ganesh soon became a fan favourite with her wit, calmness and decision-making skills despite entering the show late.
Divya Ganesh, known for her role as Jennifer in the Tamil serial Baakiyalakshmi, was also rewarded a Maruti Suzuki Victoris as part of the win. The actress has also been active in the Telugu television industry with serials like Bhagyarekha.
At the finale, host Sethupathi got emotional and, as a token of love, presented all finalists with a miniature replica of the house. T
he show that began with 20 contestants in October last year reached its final week with four finalists: Divya Ganesh, Sabarinathan, Vikkals Vikram, and Aurora Sinclair.
