CHENNAI: As The Raja Saab, headlined by Prabhas, is gearing up for release on January 9, the team organised a pre-release event in Hyderabad. Directed by Maruthi, the film also stars Boman Irani, Malavika Mohanan, Nidhhi Agerwal, Riddhi Kumar and Zarina Wahab in pivotal roles.
Maruthi said, “The two people who stood strongly behind The Raja Saab were Prabhas and Vishwa Prasad. After listening to it, Prabhas laughed a lot. He did not need to make this film. With him, we did not just make a film; we made a large-scale movie. After adding the background score, I was in tears while watching the scenes. Even if one scene in this film disappoints any of you, I will give you my home address; come and meet me.”
Adding to the excitement, Nidhhi Agerwal shared, “Acting alongside Prabhas feels like a dream come true. Words cannot express how good he is as a person. Thaman gave beautiful music.”
Meanwhile, Malavika Mohanan reflected on making her Tollywood debut with a film of this scale and substance. She noted, “I never imagined that I would enter Tollywood with a prestigious movie like The Raja Saab. Usually, heroines get only romance and songs, but director Maruthi gave me the opportunity to do romance, songs, comedy, drama, and action as well.”
Billed to be a horror-entertainer, the film is backed by TG Vishwa Prasad and Krithi Prasad. Karthik Palani is handling the camera, while Kotagiri Venkateswara Rao is the editor.
