Suriya-Vetri project is a period drama

Kalaipuli S Thanu recently announced that he will be producing Suriya’s 40th film and it will be directed by none other than critically acclaimed director Vetri Maaran, with whom Thanu had worked with in Asuran. According to the latest reports, we hear that Suriya’s project with Vetri Maaran is a period drama and the film will go on floors in March 2020.

Sources also say that the film revolves around Thanjavur temple and the stories behind the construction. Like Vetri’s previous films, this one, too, is said to be an adaptation of a popular Tamil novel.

“Suriya will work on Vetri’s project only after completing Hari’s action entertainer,” a source revealed. Meanwhile, the actor is also waiting for the release of Soorarai Pottru directed by Sudha Kongara.
