Singeetam Srinivasa Rao back with 61st film
CHENNAI: A pioneer in Indian cinema, Singeetam Srinivasa Rao is the visionary behind India’s first silent film, Pushpaka Vimaana, and also time travel film, Aditya 369. After a break, the renowned veteran filmmaker is back with his most ambitious project.
Backed by filmmaker Nag Ashwin, Devi Sri Prasad is onboard to compose the music. The title of the film will be revealed by the makers soon. This project marks the 94-year-old visionary filmmaker’s 61st film.
His works span across different languages including Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, Hindi and English. Some of his iconic films are Neeti-Nijayiti, Dikkatra Parvathi, Mayuri, Bhagyada Lakshmi Baramma, Magalir Mattum, Little John, Son of Aladdin.
In Tamil, he is a frequent collaborator with Kamal Haasan. Their much-appreciated works are Raja Paarvai, Apoorva Sagodharargal, Michael Madana Kama Rajan, Kaathala Kaathala, and Mumbai Xpress.
