Mahendran, known for his performances as child artistes and also in the films Master, Vizha, Amigo Garage and many more, was last seen in Nilakanta, a Telugu film.
An action-entertainer, the film hit the screens in January and recently premiered on Sun NXT.
Written and directed by Rakesh Madhavan, the film features Yashna Muthuluri, Neha Pathan, Snehaullal, Ramki and Babloo Prithiveeraj, among others.
The plot revolves around a tailor who has heartfelt belief in karma.
LS Productions bankrolled the project, while Mark Prashanth composed the music. Sravan G Kumar was both the cinematographer and editor for Nilakanta.
The film was released in Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Malayalam and Kannada.
