

CHENNAI: Vaa Vathiyaar, directed by Nalan Kumaraswamy, which hit theatres on January 14, is set to premiere on OTT on January 28. The Karthi-starrer will begin streaming on Amazon Prime Video.
The film revolves around a die-hard fan of legendary actor and former Chief Minister, late M.G. Ramachandran (MGR), who raises his grandson believing him to be MGR’s reincarnation. However, the story takes an interesting turn when the grandson grows up with ideas that clash with his grandfather’s ideals.
The film features Karthi, Krithi Shetty and Sathyaraj in lead roles. Produced by Studio Green, the project has cinematography by George C. Williams ISC, editing by Vetre Krishnan, and music composed by Santhosh Narayanan.
Earlier, the Madras High Court had temporarily stalled the film’s release following a plea related to the producer’s pending dues to an investor.
