CHENNAI: Chennai police arrested 29 men who were allegedly involved in malpractice by using bluetooth devices in Group C examination of the Army civilian service at Nandambakkam in Chennai on Sunday.

The Group C examination for civilian service in the Indian Army was conducted in the Nandambakkam army campus on Sunday morning. The examination was scheduled in two batches between 10 am to 12 pm and 3 pm to 5 pm. Police sources said that during the second batch, invigilators found a few candidates having bluetooth devices. When checked the devices, they found the candidates were recieving answers via bluetooth. A total of 29 candidates had the devices with them and all of them were from Haryana. Invigilators seized the devices and after an inquiry, all of them were handed over to the Nandambakkam police station.

The police registered a case against all of them and inquired. Police said that all the 29 would be released on station bail. However, in future, they wont be able not attend any exams related to Army since a case has been registered.
