28-yr-old history-sheeter hacked to death in front of his wife

CHENNAI: A 28-year-old history-sheeter was hacked to death in front of his wife in Maraimalainagar on Monday. The deceased, Vaiko Alias Chandru of Thailavaram in Maraimalainagar, was a history-sheeter and also a ganja peddler.

On Monday afternoon when Chandru was at home with his wife, a group of men barged inside the house and started to attack him with knives and sickles on the head, face and limbs and escaped from the spot. Chandru’s wife who tried to stop the attackers also suffered cut injuries. The police have registered a case. The police suspect he might have been killed by a rival gang.
