Duo held with 3.25 kg ganja in Virugambakkam

CHENNAI: City police arrested two persons for selling ganja near Virugambakkam on Monday and seized 3.25 kg from the duo.

As part of the city police’s drive against drugs campaign, searches have been intensified across the city to rein in drug peddlers.

Virugambakkam police received a tip off about sale of ganja on a playground in K K Salai in Virugambakkam.

When a police team reached there, two youngsters tried to escape, but were caught.

The arrested persons were identified as U Magesh Kanna (23) of Choolaimedu and Richard Fraser (21) of Kodambakkam.

They were produced before a magistrate and remanded in judicial custody.
