6 held for fight in temple procession

TIRUVLLUR: Six persons were arrested for getting into a brawl at a temple procession in Tiruvallur on Monday.

Panjali (45), a resident of Kamaraj Street in Periya Edapalayam was taking part in a temple procession when three men namely Ravi, Jagan and Muthu verbally assaulted her. Following this, Jayakumar, Vicky and Surya came in support of Panjali and clashed with the other team. When the argument escalated to a scuffle, the Tiruvallur police arrived at the scene and arrested the six men. A case has been registered and investigations are on.
