CHENGALPATTU: An accused Madhan Prabhu (35), who is suspected to be on the run after allegedly killing his brother-in-law surrendered at the Chengalpet judicial magistrate court on Thursday.

The victim Kamesh Kumar, a resident of Cheyyur in Madhurandhagam, worked at the Neelangarai police station. He and his brother-in-law Madhan Prabhu did not get along with each other and were constantly at loggerheads. Following this, when Kamesh Kumar was walking along the street in Cheyyur on Wednesday, the accused ran over him with his car and killed him before fleeing the scene. “We were on the lookout for Madhan Prabhu and three of his associates who were on the run when the former surrendered before the Chengalpattu court,” police said.
