Chennai: The injured boy was identified as Vasanth (14) of Madambakkam, a Class 10 student of a government-aided school in East Tambaram. On Monday morning, Vasanth was travelling on the MTC bus to his school. As the bus was crowded, the boy was standing on the steps, said the police.

The other commuters immediately rushed him to the Chromepet government hospital, from where he was shifted to the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital.
