    CHENNAI: Tension in Chengalpattu GH as a 30-year-old man tried to jump from the third floor of the building to commit suicide on Thursday morning. Later he was rescued by the staff. Police said Chandru who was staying on the roadside near the National Highway in Guduvanchery suffered fits on Wednesday. Soon the onlookers informed the ambulance and he was admitted to the Chengalpattu GH for treatment. On Thursday morning, Chandru went to the third floor of the building and was about to jump onto the ground to commit suicide. Police said though he jumped from the terrace, Chandru fell on the concrete slab and was hanging on the slab by holding it with both his hands. Soon the attenders and staff who noticed the incident went to the third floor and managed to lift Chandru back. Later, the Chengalpattu Town police who visited the spot found that Chandru was mentally deranged and was admitted to the hospital for further treatment.
