The year-end run from Guwahati to Cherrapunji is a 135-km run covered in two days, December 30 and 31. When Jai got a break in between, he spoke to DT Next about the event in detail.

“I am a running enthusiast and I know Milind from 2015 onwards. This year, when he invited me to this mega event, I was super excited. There are 11 runners from across the country participating in this event. This run is organised to spread awareness on good health and I am the youngest person in the group,” says Jai, a first-year student of Hindustan College of Arts & Science.

A passionate long-distance runner, cyclist and swimmer, Jai started running when he was in Class 8. “I always like to be associated with various causes and this is my way of giving back to society. I have a social enterprise called Born To Win – it strives to eradicate social challenges. Our campaigns are Say No To Crackers, He For She, Rise For Rice and Say No To Plastics and currently, Mission 100 tons to Feed The Needy,” he adds.
