Duo steals bike to get back vehicle

Vivek (32) of Thirumalai Nagar in Perungudi lodged a complaint after his bike parked in front of the house went missing on October 9. After identifying them with the help of CCTV footage, a special team nabbed Augustine (23) of Mannivakkam and Hari Nikesh (22) of Karaikudi, who said they sent the stolen two-wheeler to Pattukottai for sale. It was retrieved with the help of local police there. Officials said after the duo ran out of money to buy ganja, they pledged Nikesh’s bike. Later, they decided to retrieve the pledged bike by stealing another two-wheeler and selling it.
