Saidapet MLA Ma Su’s son dies of virus infection

A statement from Subramanian’s office said that his son Anbazhagan was being treated for COVID for nine days at King Institute of Preventive Medicine and Research in Guindy but died early Saturday morning. Subramanian and his wife Kanchana, who were on home quarantine after contracting the infection earlier, had recovered over a week ago.

In his condolence message, DMK president MK Stalin expressed shock and grief and said that he was at loss of words to console Subramanian and wife. He also wondered why such a misery befell Subramanian who rushes to help everyone.

Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president KS Alagiri also offered his condolences to Subramanian, who he noted, was an embodiment of simplicity and committed to serving the people.
