Former Indian Bank Chairman and Tamil Nadu Yadava Mahasabha president M Gopalakrishnan died here early on Thursday morning after a prolonged illness. He was 86.

He died at his residence in Chennai. The last rites were performed later in the day.
Local Administration Minister SP Velumani, PMK founder S Ramadoss, Tamil Nadu Congress Committee president KS Alagiri and several political leaders condoled his death.
