Man, girlfriend arrested for attempting to kill business partner
A 27-year-old man and his girlfriend were chased and secured by a patrol team while the duo was on the way to the airport to escape to Mumbai after attacking his business partner with a knife in Ashok Nagar, on Monday night.

The victim, Deepak, and the accused Hamdan (27) were partners in textile business. However, differences cropped up, and Hamdan and his girlfriend reached Deepak’s house in Raghavan Colony on Monday night. They stabbed Deepak on his neck and shoulder, and fled the spot. After Deepak alerted the police control room, Guindy Assistant Commissioner Subbarayan and Taramani inspector Pushparaj conducted inquiries. Guindy all-women inspector Lakshmi tracked the suspects using their mobile phones and found them moving towards the airport. They were chased and secured before they entered the airport. They were remanded in judicial custody on Tuesday.
