Photography contest to celebrate Madras

Photographic Society of Madras (PSM) which is sharing 163 years of its history with the city, is holding a photography contest called Shoot Madras as part of the Madras Week celebration.

There are three themes for this contest. In the first theme ‘terrace/balcony view of Madras’, participants can share extraordinary views of the city from their terrace/balcony. The second theme is ‘architecture of Madras’. 

Madras architecture is a mix of different styles that include Dravidian temples, Indo Saracenic buildings, art deco, and the latest steel and glass architecture. Those interested can share any shots of Madras architecture. 

The third is the ‘streets of Madras’ and participants can send street photographs reflecting the ethos of the city. The last date for submission of entries to the contest is August 16. For details, visit www.photomadras.org.
