Duo held for robbing lorry drivers, lone riders at knifepoint
Police arrested two youngsters who were allegedly involved in a robbery at knifepoint on GST Road between Mamandur-Maduranthagam on Tuesday.

The accused were identified as Manikandan (21) and Arjuna (22) of Natarajapuram in Mamandur. A special team that was on night patrol noticed two men threatening a lorry driver at knifepoint. After spotting the police personnel, the duo tried to flee, but were caught after a chase. Officials said the duo were targeting lorries and also men travelling alone on two-wheelers.
