On curating the three-day pop-up, Mandira says, “We started off the idea with bringing down the collection by Raghavendra Rathore. Then, we decided to also include the works of designers who have taken part in fashion weeks and are popularly known across the country.”

Besides Raghavendra Rathore’s finest of men’s clothing, the Luxe Edit will include collections by brands like Mishru, who are known for their intricate and well-crafted garments for men and women, particularly brides-to-be, Itrh by designer Ridhi Bansal and celeb stylist Mohit Rai, and the works of designer Pallavi Jaipur, among others. WeaveinIndia will also showcasing its range of silks like Kanjivarams, Banarasi kota, bandhini, Paithani linens and more.

One can also expect to see kaleidoscope juttis, embroidered mules, zardosi-embellished leatherette sneakers and more from the brand Aprajita Toor, as well as handcrafted silver jewellery line from Sangeeta Boochra, a brand from the house of Silver Centrre, founded in Jaipur way back in 1897. Each of the silver jewellery pieces from the brand are crafted by hand and are inspired from the rustic and royal state of Rajasthan, Gujarat and also a few south Indian locales.

One of the highlights of the pop-up is expected to be the collection by Raghavendra Rathore, who carries several hundreds of years of family fashion history in his clothing, the curators say. “The set will display some of Indian men’s regal finest with straight-from-the-runway pieces to bespoke and made-to-order sets. A focus on both sophistication and style, and his tailoring and interpretation of traditional men’s formalwear, is remarkable as seen in his signature bandhgala and tapered waistcoasts,” they add.

To keep the shoppers from getting hungry, the pop-up will also present food by Sante Spa and gourmet desserts by Shradha Lulla. Luxe Edit will be held at No 250, Lloyds Road, Royapettah, from February 19-21.
