Lorry rams two-wheeler, college student dies

The police identified the deceased was M Venkatathiri of Ulundai village in Thiruvalur. He was a ECE first-year student.

On Tuesday morning, Venkarathiri was on his way to the college in Tambaram when the lorry tried to overtake and rammed his vehicle. In the impact, Venkarathiri fell from the scooter and died on the spot with severe head injuries. The Sriperumbudur police retrieved the body and sent it for post-mortem examination at Sriperumbudur government hospital. The police said that the lorry driver escaped from the spot after the incident and a case has been registered.
