Shocked staff members alerted the college administration and Arumbakkam police was subsequently informed.

Preliminary inquiry revealed that her name is Hari Shanthi Police said that S Hari Shanthi of Karambakkam at Tiruvallur district, a PhD holder, was employed as an assistant professor at the Telugu department in the college five years ago.

While she quit the job two years ago after getting a government job as a school teacher, she often visited the college as she allegedly was in relationship with another professor in her department.
