Knowledge seminar held at young entrepreneurs meet

In this context, the class 11 students of the 2019-20 batch designed and executed an exclusive Knowledge Disseminating Seminar – Bala Vidya Mandir Young Entrepreneurs Conclave recently.
Students were coached by Padmaja S N – The school’s young entrepreneur project consultant with a dynamic instructional design on skill development and experiential learning modules and with principal, Srinivasa Raghavan.
The current batch has been having ‘Young Entrepreneur Sessions’ with Padmaja since 2016-17 when students learnt brush calligraphy, soap making, photography, phenyl, perfume, detergent, shampoo, lip balms, jewellery, lanterns, ‘Best from Waste’ products, paper sculpture, wire sculpture, murals, clay modelling, chocolate making, designer candles, snow globes, tie and dye, block printing, packaging and card making.
Students were also introduced to the concept of ‘Crowdfunding’ where they collected Rs 24 lakh that was donated to ‘Freedom Trust’ to provide prosthetic limbs across rural areas of Tamil Nadu.
This year, students were introduced to the concept of Event Management, through a practical approach, thus leading to the idea of the Young Entrepreneurs Conclave. The students participated enthusiastically and this was the first time in India where school students organised a business conclave. The students were introduced to a variety of events such as Guest Delegate PR Team, Design Print Media Team, Press PRO Team, Hospitality Team and Firefighters Team among others.
