Photo exhibition showcases Germany-based artists’ works

A photo exhibition titled ‘With/Against the Flow: Contemporary Photographic interventions’, being held in the city is presenting the works of German photographers. Works of Viktoria Binschtok and Michael Schafer will reflect in different ways the world of media images and the shift towards digital.

 

While Michael analyses images taken from the mainstream news and entertainment, Viktoria looks at news channels and focuses on communication through images in the age of internet. 

The exhibition, curated by Florian Ebner and Christin Muller, is said to be a reflection on the present and future potential of images. Goethe Institut, along with the Chennai Photo Biennale (CPB) Foundation, is hosting the photo exhibition till December 1 at Lalit Kala Akademi on Greams Road from 10.30 am to 5.30 pm.
