More than 5 kg of ganja seized in three cases, four detained

The Pulianthope police secured a woman on suspicion near a college on Thursday and found out that she was selling ganja packed in sachets to youngsters in the locality. Four kilos of ganja was seized from her handbag.

After interrogating her, the police said that she was identified as Rama of Red Hills, who already has ganja peddling cases pending against her.

In another incident, the Tirumangalam police arrested a 57-year-old man and seized 1.2 kg of ganja from his house on Wednesday night. Based on a tip-off, the police carried out the raid at house of the accused, S Ravichandran of Udhayam Colony in Anna Nagar.

Meanwhile, the Secretariat Colony police arrested a duo and seized 250 grams of ganja on Wednesday night. The accused were identified as B Ebenezer (20) and S Raghavan (20) of Ayanavaram.All four persons were remanded in judicial custody.
