Kerala man wanted in Pocso case held at airport

He was identified as Mohamed Yasir, a resident of Thiruvananthapuram in Kerala. When the immigration officials were checking the passengers who were about to board the flight to Dubai, they scanned the documents of Mohamed Yasir and found out that he was wanted in a Pocso case.

The officials immediately detained him. Sources said that Mohamed Yasir misbehaved with a minor girl in Thiruvananthapuram a few months ago and went absconding after the incident. On a tip-off that Mohamed Yasir might escape from the country, the Thiruvananthapuram police had issued a lookout circular to airports across the country.

The Thiruvananthapuram police were informed and a police team from there has started to Chennai to take Yasir in custody.
