Tuition teacher, male friend held for sexually abusing students

The police said that arrested man (38) allegedly encouraged students to be intimate and shot videos to blackmail them and the 28-year-old woman tuition teacher had aided him in the crime. The action was taken based on a complaint from the family of a 15-year-old girl, one of the victims, and both suspects were arrested on Wednesday.

According to the complaint, the victim’s family had claimed that the duo used to force her to be intimate with a male student in the tuition class and the male suspect allegedly shot videos of it.

“He noticed the teenagers, who were close to each other, and encouraged them to be intimate and videographed them secretly. He would then show it to the girls to blackmail and sexually exploit them,” said the police officers investigating the case.

They added that the male suspect allegedly threatened to release the videos on the internet if the victims told about it to anyone and forced them to have sex with him. Sources also indicated that the accused could have taken the victims to places other than the tuition centre and sexually exploited them.

The police further added that the woman ran a home tuition for students studying in Class 10 and 12 and the man, who is married, resided opposite her house. He often visited her house. The two are believed to be in arelationship.

Police said that they would further investigate how many other students were exploited by the suspect and how long was it going on for.
