Drunk teen held for attacking SI
Police arrested a 19-year-old youth for allegedly attacking a sub-inspector with a stone in Arumbakkam. He was said to have been under the influence of alcohol at the time of the incident.

The accused, P Vicky of Arumbakkam, has three cases pending against him – all of which booked in connection with pro-Jallikattu protest that was held on the Marina beach two years ago, said the police.
Around 9.30 pm on Saturday, the Arumbakkam police received information that Vicky was creating ruckus and refusing to pay the bill at a Tasmac bar on 100 Ft Road after consuming alcohol.
Sub-inspector N Thangadurai (37), who was at the station when the information came, went to the spot and tried to secure Vicky. However, he allegedly attacked Thangadurai with a stone in which the latter suffered injuries on his head. The officer was admitted to the Kilpauk Medical College Hospital while the other personnel who were part of the team secured Vicky and handed him over to the Arumbakkam police.
The teenager was arrested and remanded in judicial custodyon Saturday.
