Phone snatcher held in Koyambedu

The accused was identified as Samuel of Tirumangalam. The mobile phone was recovered from him and handed over to the victim,Islam (26).

The incident happened on Friday night when Islam went to use the toilet inside the Chennai Mofussil Bus Terminus. Samuel, who followed him inside, snatched his mobile phone and escaped from the spot. Based on a complaint from Islam, the CMBT police registered a case. During the night rounds, the police secured a man on suspicion inside the bus terminus and recovered the phone from him.

After investigation, he was produced before a magistrate and remanded in judicial custody, said the police officers.
