    Chathurthi: Traffic cops advise vehicles to avoid Kamarajar Salai

    Anticipating a huge crowd to throng the Marina beach on the last day of idol immersion after Vinayaka Chathurthi, city traffic police have advised motorists not to take Kamarajar Salai on Sunday.

    In a press release, traffic police officials have asked motorists coming from Parry’s Corner towards Adyar and various other roads such as Radhakrishnan Salai and Walajah Road leading to Kamarajar Salai to go to Parry’s Corner to take an alternative route to reach their destinations.


    They have also informed that EVR Salai, Harrington Road, 100-ft Road, Arcot Road, Valluvarkottam High Road, Nungambakkam High Road, Kodambakkam High Road, Nelson Manickam Road, Santhome High Road are expected to be crowded from 12 pm to 8 pm, as idols from across the city would reach Kamarajar Salai to be immersed at Marina beach and at Foreshore Estate.
