App to help make corrections on voters’ list

The programme would be conducted from September 1 to September 30 in which the voters could make corrections by using a smartphone application. “Voter Helpline app can be used to make corrections in detail including name, date of birth, photo of the voter and gender,” a Chennai Corporation press release said.

“However, senior citizens and persons with disabilities can call 1950 or visit Electoral Register Office where Voter Facilitation Centres are located. They can also visit e-Seva centres. The corrections can be done by providing details of any of the identity cards approved by the Election Commission of India (ECI) and EPIC number.” Updated details of voters will be included in integrated draft roll to be published on October 15.
