Wanted man detained at city airport

Police said Ahamed’s wife had filed a complaint with the Keelakarai all-women police that her husband demanded more dowry and attacked her in 2017. As he was missing, the Ramanathapuram SP sent a lookout notice to all the airports across the county. On Wednesday, Ahmed had come to Chennai airport for boarding the Air India flight to Muscat. The immigration officials found that Ahmed was wanted by the Ramanathapuram police after checking his passport. The officials cancelled his journey, detained Ahmed and informed the Ramanathapuram police.
