Two teens among 3 killed in separate road accidents
Three persons, including two teenagers, were killed in separate road accidents in various parts of the city. The accidents happened in Porur, Kasimedu, and Periamet on Wednesday and Thursday.

In the first incident at Porur, an 18-year-old college student was killed after the motorbike on which he was travelling rammed a lorry. The deceased, identified as Nirmal, was a resident of Mogappair.
He and his friend Kellet Benny (18), both first-year students of a private college, were travelling on a bike when they rammed a lorry on Maduravoyal-Tambaram bypass road. The police said they were not wearing helmets. Nirmal died on the spot after the accident. A police team reached the spot and shifted the body to a government hospital for autopsy. The pillion rider, Benny, suffered severe injuries and he was admitted to Chromepet Government Hospital.
In the second accident, a 17-year-old boy died on Sattanna Naicken Street in Periamet. The deceased, Vicky, a resident of Thirunindravur, died after he hit the two-wheeler on a median and fell on the road. The police are looking for his pillion rider who is believed to have escaped with the bike, leaving behind Vicky.
In the last incident at Kasimedu, Bharathi (39), a resident of Kasimedu, died after he came under the rear wheels of a container truck on Jeevarathinam Salai on Thursday night. Bharathi was headed to pick up his wife from New Washermenpet when the accidenthappened.
