City police detain seven persons under Goondas Act

The police said that one-year detention of the suspects arrested in various crimes under Goondas Act is aimed at preventing further crimes by them.
Two of the detainees, identified as Vivek Raj and Udayakumar, were arrested by the Peerkankaranai police for murder
While ‘Honest’ Raj was arrested by the Sathankadu police for various crimes, ‘Poochi’ Manikandan was arrested by the Old Wasnermenpet police. Pradeep Kumar and Mullai Ramesh were nabbed by the MKB Nagar police and Parthipan was arrested the Anti Vice Squad.
