Students warned for creating ruckus in bus
Despite the crackdown on route thalas among college students a month ago after students armed with long knives clashed on the road, police on Thursday detained seven students of Pachaiyappa’s College for creating ruckus inside an MTC bus on Wednesday.

The students who were detained by Kilpauk police on information were later released after obtaining a written statement from them that they would not indulge in such activities again.
Police said that the incident happened on Wednesday morning in an MTC bus (route No 47A) plying between ICF and Besant Nagar. According to police, the students sang songs and danced inside the bus which caused disturbance to the other passengers. After one of them alerted police control room, a team from Kilpauk secured the students.
