Man held for selling ganja to college students in city

The police also seized 1.2 kg of ganja from the accused, identified as M Anandan (36) of Pulianthope. He was secured from Demellows Road on Monday afternoon based on a tip-off and remanded him in judicial custody.

Similarly, two men were arrested for selling mawa at Perambur Barracks Road. Two kg of mawa was seized from the accused, M Velumuthu (46) of Choolai and A Ashraf (52) of Pulianthope.

The duo was remanded in judicial custody. Also, a 65-year-old woman identified as P Pushpa of Pulianthope was arrested for selling liquor illegally and 10 bottles (180ml) of liquor were seized from her.
