“He has a set of customers who contact him over phone to buy heroin,” said NIB sleuths. The police booked him under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act and remanded him to judicial custody.
The NIB has also seized close to eight kg of ganja found abandoned on Platform 4 of MGR Chennai Central Railway Station. The value of the seized drug is close to Rs 3.2 lakh. “We are yet to identify the owner of the parcel, and are checking CCTV footage to zero in on the accused,” said police.
