Commercial sex worker from WB killed, three arrested
A 30-year-old woman tattoo artist from West Bengal, who was also allegedly a commercial sex worker, was brutally murdered on Sunday. Two men, who are said to be her regular customers, were arrested in an overnight search operation.

The deceased was identified as Pinkey of Kolkata. She was married to Utham Mandal and they have two children. The couple moved to the city seven years ago in search of jobs. Pinkey reportedly separated from her husband a few months ago.
Later, she married Krishnan Dil Bahadur, a Nepal national, and was living with him at a rented house at H Block at Anna Nagar West.
According to the police, Pinkey was also a commercial sex worker apart from being a tattoo artist. Krishnan Dil Bahadur, who also reportedly helped her find customers, reached home on Sunday night and found her lying in a pool of blood in the bathroom. After he informed the neighbours about it, the Tirumangalam police were alerted. They reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem examination to the Kilpauk Medical College Hospital.
When the police went through the CCTV footage taken from locality, they saw two men leaving her house. As Pinkey’s phone was also missing, they checked her call records and traced the last few phone numbers that she spoke to. The phone numbers were located in Tirumangalam and two men – Vikas Sharma and Vikas Kumar of West Bengal – were picked up. During the investigation, the duo allegedly admitted that they murdered Pinkey as she refused to have sex with them for the second time.
“The duo claimed that they were her regular customers. On Sunday, they paid her Rs 1,000, but she refused when they demanded to have sex for the second time. It led to a quarrel between them and in the melee, Pinkey got her head hit in the washbasin and collapsed. The duo later smothered her with a pillow and left her body in the bathroom,” said the police.
The police are inquiring the suspects if some other persons are involved in the murder and Krishnan Dil Bahadur has also been detained for interrogation. They are likely to be remanded on Tuesday.
