RTI applicant seeks info on slippery toilets in TN police stations
Even as officers from various police stations have been claiming that the suspects who complain of broken limbs, had slipped and fallen while using toilets in the police stations, a man from Tirunelveli asked for the details of ‘slippery lavatories’ in stations across Tamil Nadu.

In his questionnaire sent to the state police headquarters, RTI petitioner A Brahma, wanted to know how between 2010 and 2019, so many suspects broke their limbs after falling down in police station toilets.
He also wanted knows how many police officers had broken their hands and legs while using the same toilets within the same period.
The petitioner sought details about the steps being taken to prevent people from while using the toilets. Brahma also wanted to know if the department has taken any action against policemen who had summoned or arrested the suspects who eventually ended up with broken bones.
