One stabbed during Ajith-Vijay fan spat
Even as fans of actors Ajith and Vijay are involved in a bitter spat on social media, a quarrel between the fans of the two actors ended in a knife attack inside the Sri Lankan Tamil refugee camp in Puzhal. The victim is in a critical condition, police said.

The victim, Uma Shankar (32), and the accused, Roshan (34), are residents of Sri Lankan refugee camp at Kavankarai in Puzhal. On Monday night, as they were standing on the street chatting, Uma Shankar allegedly made derogatory comments about Vijay, which irked Roshan, an ardent fan of the actor, which led to a fight between the two.
Infuriated over this, Roshan brought a knife from his house and stabbed Uma Shankar on his head, shoulders and chest.
Neighbours rescued Roshan and rushed him to a nearby primary health centre. He was then shifted to Stanley Medical College Hospital, where he is undergoing treatment in a critical condition. Meanwhile, the Puzhal police arrested Roshan and remanded him in judicial custody on Tuesday.
On social media, Ajith fans created the hashtag #RIPActorVijay that was trending nationally on Monday, which led to an online war between them and Vijay fans, who trended #LongLiveVijay.
